OddOneOut
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Submission for the GMTK game{jam}; of 2019, with the theme Only One.
The JAR should run right off-the-shelf on any machine or toaster.
Given are three cards. One (1) of these cards is different in one (1) of its aspects. You have one (1) second to pick out the odd one. Doing so gives you one (1) more second to solve the next card. It's simple, isn't it?
There are 3 symbols, 3 colors, 3 different numbers of symbols and each card can be filled or not.
There are puzzles with 3, 5 and 7 cards. 3 is doable, 5 is very hard, 7 is basically impossible.
There is a little extra when you reach 10 seconds on the timer.

Sadly I cant play the game on windows. There is no Bin folder in which the .exe would be located.
Try double-clicking the jar
Jar is the java-version of an exe
It doesnt work if your java version is less than 8 (2016) or absent
Ah I found the problem. I have winrar and it automatically used winrar to open it.
About the game: Its extremely stressful with just 1 second. I found that jitterclicking your way through is the way to go. There should be a little penalty when you get something wrong. Also, next time, to give the player some slack you could make it a little more then 1 second.
Overall it was really well polished. Good job.
In fact, i already addressed both problems. After 10 mistakes, each wrong choice gives increasingly more penalty (should prevent you from getting 10+ seconds on the timer) and the timer is actually 20% slower than real-time (you have 1.2 seconds per puzzle).
